Inside the Wallpaper* City Guide Paris launch
We launched our Paris Wallpaper* City Guide at the city's SOME/THINGS concept store - here's what happened
Paris’ creative crowd gathered in the hip Oberkampf district on Thursday night to celebrate the launch of the Wallpaper* City Guide French editions - ten city guides published in French.
The event was held at vanguard studio and multidisciplinary store SOME/THINGS, with Perrier-Jouët champagne, Palais Royal canapés and a soundtrack courtesy of Maison Kitsuné.
In attendance were Nicolas Cloutier and Lynorette Morsch of fragrance store Nose, Martin Liesnard of boutique menswear store Ami, Gaelle Bohé and Isabelle Larignon of chic, gluten-free boulangerie Chambelland, and Nicolas Poillot and Maud Lepetit of Études Studio. Also gathered: Vanity Fair’s Marie Champenois, and designers Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance and Dorothée Meilichzon.
The French edition of the Wallpaper* City Guide Paris includes the new Art and Design chapter, featuring highbrow dealers Galerie Kreo (who in the past have collaborated with the Bouroullec Brothers) and Carpenters Workshop, and galleries such as Gosserev and S Bensimon that blur the line between art and furniture. The updated French editions also highlight each city’s most happening bars, restaurants, fashion stores and hotels.
Gift bags included a copy of Wallpaper* magazine, an artisan soap by historic Parisian perfumer Buly and, of course, a French edition of the Wallpaper* City Guide Paris. If you missed the party, you can still buy the new Paris Wallpaper* City Guide here.
